Instagram Hit by Instabug
Instagram was recently in the news for breeding a bug in its application. A significant number of Instagrammers were locked out of their account for a longer period of time. Instagram was suspected to be hacked which later turned out to be a mere bug.
The bug kept the users logged out of their account causing a buzz in the Instagram circle. Many users could not even get through the login. However, a few lucky ones managed to get past the login but had to meet an operational error thereafter.
If you are wondering what exactly happened to the photo-sharing platform, here’s the story for you. Quite many numbers of users were logged out of their respective accounts for a longer period of time and were shown error messages like ‘operational error’.
The bug is reported to be fixed. However, the login process is still taking more time than usual. Passwords have not been reset which will allow the Instagrammers to heave a sigh of relief. When Instagrammers spotted these unusual behaviour suspicions were pointing to a hacking attack. However, it turned out to be a mere bug which was lovingly given the name of ‘Instabug’ by this photo-sharing platform.
With the users pushing the panic button, Instagram had quite a tough time setting things right. Ruling out the hack attack came as a major relief for the users and the photo-sharing platform as well. Instagram made sure to make this public by sharing the new that it was just a bug and not a hack! Instagram is confident enough to assure its users that Instabug will never arise in the future. With hopes that Instagrammers would come back as curious as ever, the company is taking the necessary steps to fix things and make sure such a nightmare doesn’t hit their users ever!
