Samsung to Launch Foldable Smartphones from 2016
We have always dreamt of holding devices of the future with features that could probably blow your mind. Samsung is all set to make this dream come true. Hopefully, by January of 2016, you will get to hold a Smartphone which is actually foldable.
Yes, you heard it right! You will be able to fold your Smartphone and stuff it in your pocket just like a piece of paper. Now that sounds pretty interesting, doesn’t it?
Officially named as ‘Project Valley’, the foldable Smartphone is presently under testing and will be out for use very soon. The device is being tested for adapting two configurations which include the SnapDragon 620 and SnapDragon 820 chipset.
The foldable Smartphone will also come with a 3GB RAM, a microSD card slot and a non-removable battery. According to sources, the device is expected to hit the market early next year.
Recently the Samsung Galaxy Edge was quite a unique launch from the tech giant which made use of the edge space of the Smartphone. Samsung seems to be focusing greatly on testing the SnapDragon 820 which will power the Galaxy S7.
An Exynos 8890 processor variant will be available for Galaxy S7 as well apart from the SnapDragon chipset. For quite some time now Samsung seems to be lagging behind in the race to making phones ‘smarter’.
Project Valley is more likely to be a trump card of the company which will put Samsung way ahead of the others. The concept of foldable devices has been making rounds for quite some time now. If we get to play with one then there is nothing like it. Samsung is ready to score with the launch of its flexible display Smartphone and will soon restore is lost sheen in the ever-challenging world of Smartphones.
Meanwhile, we will have to wait with bated breath to see what magic will the foldable Smartphone from Samsung unfold!
